Manual Payments (No Automatic Billing)
With this payment option, each order must be paid for individually at the time it is placed. Payments can be completed using a credit or debit card, PayPal, or by using any available balance in your Pivotal Prints account.
This option allows you to review and approve every transaction before payment is made, giving you full control over how and when your orders are paid for.
Best suited for: Customers who place orders occasionally or prefer to manage and authorise each payment manually.
Automatic Payments via Stripe
By choosing this option, you will be asked to securely enter your card details through Stripe. Your payment information is safely stored and processed by Stripe, a trusted payment provider that follows strict security standards.
Once your card is saved, payments for new orders will be processed automatically whenever an order is received from your connected store. This means you won’t need to manually approve each transaction.
Automatic payments help speed up order processing, allowing your orders to move into production straight away and helping ensure faster fulfilment for your customers.
Best suited for: Customers who receive regular orders and want a simple, automated way to manage payments without needing to approve each order manually.
Automatic Payments Using a Prepaid Account Balance
This option allows you to add funds to your account balance in advance. Once credits have been added, they will automatically be used to cover the cost of new orders received from your connected stores.
Using a prepaid balance means orders can be processed without needing to approve each payment individually, provided there are enough funds available in your account.
If an order arrives and your balance does not contain sufficient credit, you will receive an email notification prompting you to either add more funds or complete payment for the order manually.
Best suited for: Customers who want greater control over their spending while still benefiting from a partially automated payment process. Keeping your account topped up can also reduce transaction fees compared with paying for each order separately through Stripe.
Automatic Payments with Auto Balance Top-Ups
This payment method combines automated order payments with an automatically replenished account balance.
Orders are first paid using the credit balance in your account. When your available balance drops below the amount required to cover a new order, your account will automatically add funds using a pre-authorised payment card. You can choose the amount that is added each time your balance is replenished, helping ensure there are always sufficient credits available.
Example:
If your automatic top-up amount is set to £250 and your balance is £5, receiving an order costing £15 will trigger a balance top-up. Your account will be increased by £250, bringing the balance to £255. The £15 order cost is then deducted, leaving £240 remaining.
This approach keeps your account funded automatically, allowing orders to move straight into production without interruption.
Best suited for: Customers who receive orders frequently and want the most seamless payment process possible, with minimal manual payments and no delays caused by low account balances.
